Your article 'Cornish savings fail tomaterialise' (The MJ, 5 November) is atad gloomy.In fact we are well on the way to achieving significant savings from unitary reorganisation.By the end of September we had already achieved £13.608m (87%) of the £15.64m savings predicted for 2009/10 and we are now carrying out further investigations to identify the savings we expect to make in the following two years.
