'Clinical service' tops complaints about the NHS

More than 3,000 written complaints are made against the NHS each week, the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) has reported. Issued on 29 August, the figures for 2011/12 mark an 8% increase on the previous year, and indicate for family health services, the biggest proportion of complaints by subject area were on 'clinical service' - decisions, advice and treatment provided by care professionals.
