City authority in talks to abandon outsourcing deal

Aberdeen City Council will hold talks today (15 March) on whether to scrap an outsourcing deal which was expected to save the authority more than £4m a year.Councillors on the local authority's finance and resources committee will be asked to 'terminate' an ongoing process to switch management of several city hall departments to the private sector - including finance, human resources, payroll, and legal services.
