Leading the way on joint health and social care delivery

While Scodand and the rest of the UK are-moving towards integrating health and social care Inverdyde Council already has a pioneering joint venture with its local NHS board which has attracted the interest of the Scottish Government. The Inverdyde Community Health and Care Partnership was set up in 2010 by Inverdyde Council and the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board. Corporate director is Brian Moore who has been in post since May 2012. A social worker he came to Inverdyde Council two years ago as head of the service for health and community care, attracted by the existing integrated structure which he says was 'a key reason for coming.'
