District view

Like many of my colleagues I take the barometer on what's happening locally and nationally from frequently surprising conversations with taxi drivers. They always seem to be pretty well informed and have opinions on the most current issues from devolution in East Anglia, through to the current topic of the day - the EU referendum. A couple 1 chatted with recently, although well up to speed on the 'Boris/ Cameron bunfight', were intrigued to learn that it's district councils who run elections and referendums and will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of this 'once-in-a-lifetime' vote.
