Calls for probe into LOBOs

Shadow chancellor John McDonnell has called for government action to ensure a 'full, independent and open' investigation into the use of Lender Option Borrower Option (LOBO) loans by local councils.He also said he wants ‘action taken to restore any historic loss to the public purse' resulting from councils' use of the complex high-interest borrowing schemes.
