An, as yet, small group of councils have been witnessing a strange phenomenon over the past year or so. With nearly every local authority in the land wearily accustomed to being regarded as 'the enemy' by its local media, some at least have been receiving regular praise for their efforts in one particular endeavour. The advent of webcasting has not only struck a positive note with the growing number of local residents who have been tuning in to council meetings, but the local press love it. Cynically, one could suggest that this has something to do with the fact that reporters no longer have to turn out for meetings.
