Minister unveils latest guidance on LAAs

Local government minister, John Healey, has revealed the latest guidance on Local Area Agreements (LAAs). Councils and their Local Strategic Partnerships are currently negotiating their 35 targets with the Government. The new guidance will give the framework for the negotiations. Mr Healey announced 11 pilots for the new LAAs and guidance on how the LAAs would work. He said: 'These changes offer unprecedented opportunities for local leaders to set out a vision for their communities.'
