Primary schools could face a decrease in funding of almost 8% under government plans to reform funding formulas, county councils have claimed. In a letter to education secretary Michael Gove, Cambridgeshire CC's cabinet member for learning, Cllr David Harty, warns the 2012/13 budget for primary schools will be reduced by £84,000 (-7.8%), while some smaller secondary schools will be £501,000 (-15.3%) worse off.
