Boroughs dismiss lettings allegation

London's local authorities have dismissed suggestions that councils are failing to provide information on the nationality of social housing tenants. The pressure group Migra-tionwatch last week claimed just 44% of new lets by councils included information on the nationality of the tenants involved. The lobbyists claim councils should be reporting such figures as a matter of course, and urged the Government to make nationality reporting requirements compulsory.
