Government health and social care officials are still working to ensure three Better Care Fund (BCF) plans are ready to be implemented in six weeks' time. The Government has told Oxfordshire, Staffordshire and York that more work is needed on the plans they submitted five months ago. All three have been placed in the 'approved with support' category and will receive ongoing help. The other plans have been approved after they were judged to be of 'sufficient quality to move forward to implementation with no actions required'. However, the BCF programme beyond 2015/16 remains in doubt and little thought appears to have been given to planning for future years.
