Chiefs may take lead roles in CCGs

Council chiefs across the country are expected to take leading roles in clinical commissioning groups (CCG) as they seek to push ahead with integration. One chief executive told The MJ they were planning to merge local health and care commissioning into a single organisation in a move that would make the council's deputy chief executive the CCG's accountable officer.
