Over 15 years ago Jeff Disinger, AKA Dice, had a vision. He was working in a dusty American boatyard with his friend Nick Julian, whose '69 Mini Van sat quietly in the corner awaiting restoration. Years later, he convinced Nick to hand over the keys. "I've been building and modifying everything since the day I could pick up a wrench," says Dice. He has owned over 35 vehicles (almost one for every year of his life) but his dream was a "Honda CRX chassis with Mini Cooper Panel Van body dropped on." In other words, "Mini Funk". As we all know, it was never going to be simple, especially with a Van. Rushing the Mini back to his garage, Dice sketched out his plans. "I'm gonna do something crazy," he said. He knew what he wanted to achieve and stuck to his plan throughout the build, doing almost all the work himself. He comes from a long line of signwriters and can airbrush rings around most people. This skill, combined with years of mechanical experience, makes him an unstoppable creative force when let loose.
