Wander around any Mini show, and you can tell from the number of cars with audio gear on show that fitting a decent ICE set-up is still very dear to a lot of our hearts. Many systems are designed to impress by the way they are fitted and how loud they can go, but when it comes to listening to music just to enjoy it, the vast majority aren't really doing the job. So, we thought it would be a good idea to have a look at the basics of car audio, and touch on a few of the ground rules to doing it so you get the best results for your money. That means we're not going to talk about show-stopping installs that look mental but sound questionable, we're just going to give an introduction to the gear, and hopefully debunk a few myths along the way.
