I owned my first Mini at about 16 years old. I still remember the number plate now, XAD 131J. Originally it was my sister's and was passed to me when she upgraded to a Metro! The Mini needed work and my uncle Alan helped me get it back on the road. That was where my passion started. As I grew up and changed cars, I always had the urge to get back to a Mini. That was when I bought my resto project, a 1967 Morris Mini-Minor. My daughter Chelsea was three years old at the time. We bought her some overalls and she would often be seen with a spanner or ratchet in her hand. Whenever I went round to the garage Chelsea was often in my shadow, wanting to help. For whatever reason, the Mini had captivated her imagination. She had fallen under the Mini spell!
