At the end of January myself and rallying friend Nigel Chetwynd are usually involved in the Rallye Monte Historique but this year we knew we would be at a loose end so we looked around for something else to do which ideally involved snow, a trip abroad and old cars. Over the years assorted Mini acquaintances have competed in Mini Club Romand's Mini Winter Rally, which takes place in the Lausanne area of Switzerland, so that seemed an ideal opportunity for us to give my old rally car a well-deserved run out.
