OCC Demand Sizzles In South, Report Sources

Domestic demand for Old Corrugated Containers (OCC) is sizzling in the South, report RM sources. "OCC and DLK demand both seem pretty stable with prices for both grades rising by $20 per ton. With the July 4th holiday, there seemed to be a little more interest in getting tons to the mills before the weekend which drove that price up," said one scrap recycler based in the Southeast.
