VLS Acquires Environmental Recovery

VLS Recovery Services LLC, a Houston, Texas-based provider ofwaste management, railcar cleaning, and barge cleaning and repairservices, has acquired Environmental Recovery Corp. (ERC) fromRock Island Capital, Oak Brook, Illinois.Based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, ERC provides wastewater treatment,industrial waste management and other environmental servicesto customers in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest. As part of the transaction,the ERC business will operate within the VLS Waste Servicesdivision. Ken Lefever, CEOof ERC, will continue to runthe business reporting toPlatt Moore, Vice Presidentof VLS Waste Services.
