Ceremony of the Christmas Cheeses 2012

Derek Derenalagi, Afghanistan veteran and 2012 Paralympic athlete, joined Chelsea Pensioner and D-Day veteran Bill Cantwell on Wednesday 5 December for the Ceremony of Christmas Cheeses. The 300-year old tradition of cheesemakers donating their products to the Royal Hospital Chelsea started in 1692 when the hospital asked a local cheesemonger to provide the pensioners with cheese as a Christmas treat.
