According to official data from the Polish MoND, by 2026 Poland intends to spend €38 billion on technical modernisation, with roughly 60% of this amount devoted to offensive systems, mainly for a fourth division which is now being created - the 18th Mechanized Division, to be located in Siedlce in eastern Poland. Some 80% of this sum is to be spent on new equipment, while 8% will be dedicated to research and development and 7.5% to overhauls and repairs. From the total declared amount, about €8.4 billion has already been allocated to various projects. The rest is yet to be spent.
