Germany's largest industrial group ThyssenKrupp, the owner of the TKMS (ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems) shipbuilding concern, has announced a series of important decisions that will radically change the face of naval and commercial shipbuilding in Germany, with important reverberations across Europe particularly as regards the naval sector.rnTKMS used to control five fully-owned subsidiaries: Thyssen Nordseewerke in Emden, Blohm + Voss in Hamburg, HDW in Kiel, Kockums AB in Malmo, Sweden and Hellenic Shipyards in Skara-manga near Athens, Greece.
