The fact that military is spending millions on programmes that in the end will get cancelled makes the defence industry (defin) incredibly happy, but destabilises the soldier in the field up to the point that he/she will end up dead. The conception that an all round vehicle can be made and then also be upgradeable with new technology as it comes along is, well nicely marketed. The notion that a soldier can carry as much as the Incredibly Hulk is just plain silly.rnThe first thing a defence company needs to think about is how it can support the soldier in the field, how it can keep him alive. What is currently being done is R&D money gets spent until the programme runs its course, and then more money is being requested as it needs just a little more time, or technologies get fielded that are flaw. The one suffering is, yes you guessed right, the soldier in the field.
