A British FIST

The UK's Future Integrated Soldier Technology (FIST) programme is designed to give the British fire team of four soldiers and marines an integrated suite of combat equipment. The UK follows standard NATO practice in defining the foundation capability required: Lethality, Survivability, Mobility, Sustainability and C4ISR although it prefers to separate the last capability into two separate headings of Surveillance Target Acquisition (STA) and Command and Battle-space Management (CBM).
