Tornado - The Pillar of German and European Defence Policy

German, British, Italian and Saudi Arabian air forces fly the TORNADO air-to-ground and air defence aircraft.rnPanavia in Munich, Germany, was contracted to the three European governments to manufacture and deliver the aircraft. For the first time in Europe a single, but multinational company was made solely responsible for the management of the whole program as main contractor, reporting to a single customer organisation, NAMMA (NATO MRCA Management Agency), founded in September 1969 and representing the three partner governments Germany, Great Britain and Italy.
