The principle of keeping the Luftwaffe's role - or "footprint" - in operations as small as possible and, if needed, of reinforcing in-theatre units by dispatching deployable maintenance teams from Germany has proved its worth.rnThe Luftwaffe logistics organisation has found answers to the challenges that have arisen due to the fielding of new weapon systems. While unforeseeable adversities in general, have an enormous effect in pushing other projects aside, uncustomary answers have been found to foreseeable challenges. Not only structures have been changed; moreover, entirely new solutions for the system have been thought up and implemented.
