A New Strategy for NATO

NATO needs new capabilities and a more efficient structure in the next decade in order to find its place within a less centralised and more complex international order, according to a high-level group of experts.rnThe recommendations of the panel, chaired by former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, were released in a report on 17 May. Albright and 11 other experts were chosen by NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen to inspire the organisation's new strategic concept, which is due to be approved by allied leaders in Lisbon in November.
