Romania Goes F-16

The Romanian Supreme Council of National Defence (CSAT) has approved a proposal by the MoD for the acquisition of second-hand F-16 fighter aircraft from US surplus to replace the Romanian Air Force's ageing inventory of MiG-21 LANCERs. The proposed acquisition is still to be debated in Parliament, but a reversal appears highly unlikely.
