India's internal security situation remained fluid in many states affected by Maoist groups, including Jharkhand, Chhatishgarh, Orissa and Mad-hya Pradesh. On the terrorism front, trial of the prime accused for the Mumbai attack, Ajmal Kasab continued and a verdict is likely some time in April. India has also demanded extradition from the US of David Headley, and hectic diplomatic activities have been going on. It appears that Indian intelligence officials may finally at least get access to Headley in the US for questioning.
