MT: POF as a global leader in artillery munitions looks back on a successful history. What is the position of the group as a partner for the defence industry today? Lt.Gen. M. A. Mahmood: First of all I would like to say that POF is not a global leader in artillery munitions. We have our competitors, who are producing quality ammunition. However, the quality of POF artillery ammunition is internationally recognised and we do have a successful history. For about 50 years now, POF has been meeting almost 90% requirements of the Pakistan Armed Forces. Presently, with the help of our international partners, we are trying to improve with induction of better technologies in existing inventory for enhanced range, improved lethality and better accuracy.
