LTC Marvin King is an FA49 Army Officer in the operations research with engineering PhD program at the Colorado School of Mines. He conducts research on counterin-surgency modeling and simulation. Dr. Amanda Hering is an assistant professor in the Applied Mathematics and Statistics Department at the Colorado School of Mines. She advises students and conducts research in the subject areas of spatial and space-time modeling, forecasting, model-validation, multivariate methods, wind energy, and applications to environmental and crime data.
