Dr. Mark A. Gallagher, Senior Leader, is the Technical Director of Headquarters Air Force Studies & Analyses, and Assessments (AF/A9). In this position, he supports analyses, including development and application of modeling and simulation, across the spectrum of Air Force missions. Dr. Gallagher is the government Executive Agent for RAND Project Air Force. His previous assignments include the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) Program, Analysis and Evaluation (PA&E) in the Cost Analysis Improvement Group (CAIG) and Chief of Missile Defense and Combating WMD Capabilities Division at US Strategic Command. Dr. Gallagher served twice on the Military Operations Research Society (MORS) Board of Directors, including as Vice President of Society Services. Mark earned operations research and computer science degrees from the US Air Force Academy and operations research master's and PhD degrees from the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). Dr. Gallagher also was on the AFIT faculty and continues as an adjunct associate professor. He completed Air War College as a Distinguished Graduate and Harvard's Senior Executive Fellows course. He has published 30 refer-eed articles.
