(member since 2001): A 1984 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., Denneny was a TOPGUN instructor and commanded a squadron during combat in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was a legislative fellow to Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and a special assistant to the chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Denneny retired from the Navy in 2006 and is running for U.S. Congress in Virginia's 11th District.
