Turkey's armed forces include 204,000 conscripts. The term of service for conscripts is six to 12 months, depending on an individual's education level. Reserves total 379,000, with the reservist age extended to 41 for all services.The Army - known as the Land Forces - is organized into four armies (Western, Aegean, Eastern, 3rd), with a total of 10 corps. There are also two mechanized infantry divisions, one training division, 14 mechanized infantry brigades, 14 armored brigades, 11 infantry/commando brigades, and five training brigades.There is also an Army Aviation wing comprising four aviation regiments, one attack helicopters battalion, and one air transport group.The Turkish Navy features one marine regiment and has naval bases located at Golcuk, Istanbul, Izmir, Mersin, Cengiz Topel (naval air), Qanakkale, Eregli, Foca, Iskenderun, Ankara, and Aksaz Bay.The Turkish Air Force is composed of two tactical air commands, an air logistics command (headquartered in Ankara), and an air training command (headquartered in Izmir).
