Harris to provide electronic jamming systems for combat aircraft

The article reports on the selection of Harris Corp. to provide the U.S. Navy and Australian air force with 86 electronic warfare jamming systems that can protect combat aircraft from incoming radar-guided missiles. The AN/ALQ-214A(V)4/5 integrated defensive electronic countermeasures jammer systems will be used for the F/A18C/D and F/A-18E/F Hornet and Super Hornet jet fighter-bombers. According to the 161 million U.S. dollar contract, Harris will do the work in several locations.
