A novel approach for calculating the Characteristic impedance of printed-circuit lines

A new method for calculating the characteristic impedance of lossless printed-circuit lines is introduced. The method calculates the power-current definition of characteristic impedance for a printed-circuit line, without actually calculating the power flowing on the line, and thereby simplifies the calculation.
