Coeur d’Alene’s Q3 gold output jumps

Coeur d’Alene mines produced 4.3 million oz of silvernand 47,514 oz of gold during the third quarter versusn4.2 million oz and 23,124 oz, respectively, in the secondnquarter, the US miner said last week. The 105% increasenin gold output was primarily a result of the production ofn15,155 gold oz at the Kensington mine in Alaska duringnits initial quarter of operations, and a 49% increase inngold production at the Palmarejo mine in Mexico ton29,823 oz, Coeur said. The company is forecasting full-nyear silver production of over 17 million oz, cashnoperating costs of $5.50/oz of silver and a 135%nincrease in gold production to approximately 170,000 oz.
