When Bob Glutting be-came president of Floturn, Inc. in 1970, one of his main goals was to increase the level of employee participation in the company. Glutting believed that Floturn's most valuable resource was its employees and that the company's long-term success would be a result of how much their input was valued and encouraged, and how well they were treated. He began profit sharing and pension plans, abolished most rules and regulations, removed time clocks, and established 10 hour/four day work weeks.
