Achieving Lower Solvent Threshold Values Directly Reduces Environmental Impact

Today's solvent cleaning systems must, be safe, efficient, environmentally compliant, as well as remove the contaminant(s) to provide a clean part at the required throughput to meet the end user's need. With the ever-tightening rules and regulations imposed on solvent cleaning by federal, state, and other regional governing bodies, working to meet these rules can be quite challenging. As existing solvents are regulated and new solvents emerge, it is important for the user public to understand the guidelines for using these government-approved solvents in conjunction with existing and available new solvent cleaning systems in the industry today to meet existing as well as future recommended lower Threshold Limit Value (TLV). These governing bodies, as well as companies that manufacture these solvents, encourage employers to reduce solvent exposure to the lowest level possible and to maintain personnel exposure limits below government-mandated regulations.
