The Hanover Insurance Group is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. provides property and casualty insurance products and services. Co. has four segments: Commercial Lines, which include commercial multiple peril, commercial automobile, workers' compensation, and other commercial coverages; Personal Lines, which include personal automobile, homeowners, and other personal coverages; Chaucer Holdings Limited, which includes marine and aviation, property, energy, casualty and other coverages; and Other, which provides investment advisory services to affiliates and also manages assets for unaffiliated institutions such as insurance companies, retirement plans and foundations.
