I think that in every person's life there are some events that he or she remembers very well, and sometimes even describes several times to different friends - that it was a lucky chance to experience one event or another, or to meet influential people. It is a pity that nowadays it is more popular to speak about actors, singers and football players, or about politicians and influential rich people. But real progress, for example in technology, social life, our security and safety, and in medicine, this sort of progress is due to other people whose role is great and cannot be over-estimated. Sometimes these leaders are well known in professional societies but do not want to participate in any public activity. Other great people try not only to be great in their specialist field of science, but try to improve and make life safer for citizens of our beloved Planet Earth.
