Infant headwear has been developed by Boppy of Golden, Colorado, USA, to reduce pressure associated with flat head syndrome.rnThe headwear, which may be in the form of hats, caps, bonnets or hoods, is designed to reduce pressure at the rear of the head when the infant is lying or reclining in the supine position (on its back).rnDescribed in US Patent 7 430 765, the novel headwear (10) features:rn1.a head receiving portion (14) having a top region and rear region for covering the top and rear portions of the head of the infant;rn2.a support cushion (16) positioned in the rear region of the head receiving portion, which at least partially surrounds a pressure relief region (18).
