A disposable absorbent article that comprises a durable hydrophilic liquid-pervious core wrap surrounding a storage layer has been developed by Procter & Gamble and is featured in US Patent 7 923 597. Shown in Figure 4 as a diaper (20), the core wrap (42) comprises a core wrap substrate, such as a nonwoven or polymeric film, onto which is coated a hydrophilicity-boosting composition comprising nano-particles with a particle size of 1-750 nm (preferably 2-150 nm), says the company of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.
