Methods for manufacturing yarn-based drug-delivery systems are disclosed by Textile-Based Delivery of Seattle, Washington, USA. Described in US Patent 2019/0105283, the drugdelivery systems are based on yarns or other substrates, such as yarn precursors, threads, filaments or fibres, which are configured to release an active compound at a constant or near-constant rate.
