An attempt is made to synthesize a mathematical apparatus for processing the results of recalibrating measuring instruments, making it possible to take into account the results of several successive recalibrations and thereby to increase the statistical significance of the results. The algorithm proposed makes it possible, on the basis of objective data, to decide how to organize the metrological assurance of each individual instrument (the interval between recalibrations, writing them off, repairing them).
