Modelling of Ion Distribution in Single, Binary and Ternary Ion Exchanged Zeolite used for Biomedical Applications

摘要

Based on the previously published Na, Ag, Cu, and Zn ion-exchange and re-exchange study an attempt was taken to modelling the ion distribution in the structure of A type zeolite. Both the results of the ion release experiments and rigorous survey of the literature data were taken into account while positioning the ions in the crystal structure. Therefore the current study aimed to modelling the ion distribution of single, binary and ternary ion-exchanged zeolite systems used for antimicrobial purposes, where the variation of silver, copper and zinc is incorporated into the zeolite structure. The tool of modelling was "CrystalMaker6" developed by Crystal Maker Software Ltd.
