摘要

The mechanical properties of Ti-Nd alloy with high O content (similar to 0.7 wt.%) were tested. The density and ductility improved significantly on adding Nd powder up to 15 wt.%. Fluctuations in the microhardness were observed in the as-sintered sample with Nd addition. A low-oxygen ring model, which indicates that there exists a concentration gradient of O around each Nd particle, was proposed in this work. Auger electron spectroscopy has proved its existence. In addition, optimized characteristics of morphology of Nd precipitates and distribution of Nd were recommended. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
