Acid-promoted synthesis of defected UiO-66-NH_2 for rapid detoxification of chemical warfare agent simulant

摘要

Defected UiO-66-NH2 was synthesized via tuning the equivalents of added acetic acid. The influence of the acidpromoted modulation on morphologies, size, and porous structure was confirmed with the aid of SEM, XRD, TGA and BET. Greatly enhanced catalytic properties for detoxification of chemical warfare agent (CWA) simulant by acid-modulated UiO-66-NH2 were demonstrated. The half-life of dimethyl 4-nitrophenyl phosphate (DMNP) by defected UiO-66-NH2 was shortened to 0.76 min, about an order of magnitude below that of reported UiO-66NH2, showing great potential to be extended to other catalytic systems for rapid CWA detoxification.
