A novel emulsion polymerization-extraction method was developed to synthesize polyanilines(PANIs). Compared with reported works, this method could prepare the xylene solution of PANIs directly with significantly enhanced concentration (24.08-64.50 g/L in this work vs. 3.83 g/L in reference), facilitating the preparation of uniform PANIs/poly(styrene-ethylene-butadienestyrene) (SEBS) mixtures to make the PANIs/SEBS conductive films. The as-prepared PANIs/SEBS films possessed as good conductivities as the reference reports (4.9 x 10(-5)-9.3 x 10(-2) S/cm in this work vs. 10(-5)-10(-4) S/cm in reference), and might be widely applied as flexible conductive materials in fabrication of some critical components (e.g. wearable devices) in electronic industry.
