Interspill 2015, The European oil spill conference and exhibition, took place at the RAI Convention Centre in Amsterdam across 3 days, from 24-26 March. Over 1,250 delegates, visitors and exhibitors from 75 countries attended, making it the most successful event in the Interspill series to date. Rob Cox, the Chairman of the Interspill Steering Committee, said that "the continuing success of Interspill 2015 reinforced awareness that spill prevention and response remains a high priority, with the many initiatives set up after the 2009/10 offshore incidents now starting to deliver results." The Conference was opened by Professor Wierd Koops, Chairman of Spill Response Group Holland, host to Interspill 2015, who was joined in the Opening Plenary by Brian Sullivan, Executive Director of IPIECA, Robert Limb, Chief Executive of OSRL, and Richard Johnson, Technical Director of ITOPF.
