The purpose of this study is to find out the types of spare parts that have the potential to cause the largest Waste Costs at PT XYZ, a company that manufactures cement, concrete and crushed stone. The data collecting methods applied are observation and interview. Pareto analysis and Fishbone diagram will be conducted for analysis tools. The Spare part that potentially could cause the biggest waste is the spare part made of rubber (seal, belt, vee belt). From the analysis from the fishbone diagram, it was found that the main factors in causing the biggest material waste cost are human, environment, and management. The human factor is included as the factor, due to the lack of employees' knowledge of material treatment. The environment factor is involved due to inaccurate temperature controlling and insufficient air circulation in the warehouse. While, the factor of management is also considered, due to the decision on material inventory, considering too many materials made from rubber. The recommendation in dealing with the waste cost is to notice the spare part placement in the warehouse to be situated based on the type of material.
